I lost a hard drive and reinstalled Office Pro Plus. I am running Windows Everything works fine except that the email notifications do not work. I have checked the desktop settings and they are all turned on per other posts. I have added the Exchange mail account into mail.

There are not any rules set up in my email. I did have rules and found out that could be part of the problem so I deleted them all.
I checked the notifications in action center, I reinstalled the Office Product, Did a complete check on Windows 10 and still no success. The idea of creating a new user on the laptop with all of the things tied to the user account for work is not something that I want to do. There has to be a way to fix what is not working. Check what is your default app for email. Try to switch default app for email in Windows 10 from Outlook to Mail or Vise versa. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.

Hello David, It seems like your operating system Windows 10 side issue. Install fresh Windows 10 directly, not from the using Image file Or you can contact Windows support.
Also try workaround create a generic rule with no conditions and just the action to display the Desktop Alert. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

In working with the other fix here is where I am at: Working with the Registry Editor the policies folder just has Default in it. Images attached. I have also read somewhere that it may require a full fix of Windows 10 using my image file.
